A license is required to broadcast television in commercial and business premises under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, Section 72. This means that any hotel retransmitting CNN International in public areas such as guest rooms, lobbies, restaurants, or gyms must hold a valid license to remain compliant.
